It is important to make sure you and your loved ones do not go overboard this Halloween season. Set up an effective candy plan with reasonable guidelines to ensure you can still have a good time without running the risk of tooth decay or cavities.

If you have loved ones, consider offering an exchange program to have them switch out their candies for other incentives and rewards such as toys or money. In addition, be sure to dispose of all candy after the Halloween season is over. Otherwise, you may find yourself snacking on sweets for weeks on end.

Exercise caution with extremely hazardous sweets and treats. This includes products that can easily chip and crack your teeth, such as candy apples, as well as products such as sticky and chewy sweets like taffy and caramels.
